The Dipping Process The dipping process is to dip a mould, in the shape of the required product, into a tank of circulating, liquid rubber latex. The mould is allowed to dwell for a set length of time. (This determines the thickness). The rubber product is then dried, removed from the mould and trimmed as required. A skilled operative can achieve this, by dipping the moulds manually, or for larger quantities, by using a highly versatile robotic plant. |
