Latex Seals for Dry Suits
The production of latex seals for dry suits represents a large proportion of the business. All products are manufactured from a specially developed natural rubber latex compound to give durable and comfortable products. Precision Dippings supply most of the major dry suit manufacturers in the world and many of the seals are used for admiralty contracts. The majority of the dry suit seal range is produced on the automated plant giving excellent lead-times on standard products.
The latex seals shown below can be produced thicker as heavy duty seals or thinner upon customer request. Some seals can be supplied with a thicker section to give extra strength when sewing through the latex seals (subject minimum order values).
The Company have recently developed a new range of Weldable Latex Seals (patent received) which have a PU coating to allow adhesive tapes to be heat welded or RF welded to the seal. The PU coating can also be applied to the whole of the seal to extend the life of the latex by improving the resistance to U.V and Ozone. It is also possible to coat our seals and gloves with neoprene latex to improve oil resistance and flame retardance. Neoprene coating and PU coating is produced upon customer request.
