Natural Rubber Latex
Natural Rubber Latex is the best choice of material for a large number of applications. Products that require very high elasticity, strength and recovery can be made from natural rubber latex. Natural rubber also offers very good tensile strength and is tear, puncture and abrasion resistant. This unique combination cannot be matched by any other natural or synthetic material.
In a world more and more concerned with environmental issues Natural Rubber Latex can be produced with very few negative environmental effects. Natural Rubber Latex comes from the cultivation and tapping of Hevea trees. These trees protect the soil from the erosive influence of the rain and provide a habitat for a great variety of flora and fauna. Once in production rubber trees can supply latex for 20 - 35 years, after which the trees are harvested for the furniture industry and new trees are planted in their place. Very few other crops exist in the tropics with the same ecological qualities as Natural Rubber.
